The Ganges is a 2,510km long river in the Indian subcontinent flowing east through the eponymous plains of India into Bangladesh. The river rises in the Western Himalayas in the Uttarakhand state of India, and drains into the Sunderbans delta in the Bay of Bengal.Tuesday, July 7, 2009
